Reolink has unveiled the TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi, a new smart home security camera that uses an unusual sensor array to detect and track motion well beyond its immediate line of sight. Announced at IFA 2025 in Berlin, the camera features three motion sensors that provide a 270-degree detection range, allowing its rotating dual-lens head to swivel automatically and follow subjects like a car pulling into a driveway.
The new camera, which is available for pre-order for about $200, aims to solve the coverage limitations of fixed-view cameras. According to a hands-on report from Gizmodo, the TrackFlex pairs a standard wide-angle lens with a separate 6x telephoto zoom lens inside its rotating housing. When one of the three front- and side-facing sensors detects motion, the camera pans to face the subject, using the dual lenses to capture both a wide view and a detailed close-up.
Powering the tracking is Reolink’s new on-device AI system, ReoNeura Core. This local processing enables advanced features like natural language video search, allowing users to find clips by asking for “a person with a brown shirt.” The AI also analyzes and tags characteristics like clothing, vehicles, and animals for more granular searches. This move toward sophisticated on-device AI is a major trend at IFA, with competitors like Anker’s Eufy also announcing an AI Core accessory designed to predict behavior by analyzing multiple camera feeds locally.
True to Reolink’s focus on privacy, the TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi relies exclusively on local storage. Video can be saved to a microSD card (up to 512GB), a Reolink NVR, or a network-attached storage device via FTP. The unit also includes two articulating 3,000-lumen floodlight panels with adjustable brightness and color temperature, similar to the company’s existing Elite Floodlight WiFi model.
